Saudi Center for Culture and Heritage signed today, Thursday, a Memorandum of Understanding with the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) / Programme of Assistance to the Palestinian People, aimed at enhancing collaboration and unifying efforts in the humanitarian and development sectors to support Palestinians in the Gaza Strip and improve their living conditions.
The agreement focuses on cooperation in several critical areas, including mobile emergency shelter, emergency housing rehabilitation, cultural heritage restoration, and the provision of essential services in water, health, and education. This partnership comes as part of a broader response to urgent needs and efforts to strengthen the foundations for early recovery in the Gaza Strip.
In this context, Mr. Issam Abu Khalil, Chairman of the Saudi Center for Culture and Heritage, affirmed that the agreement reflects the Center’s firm commitment to the Palestinian people and its dedication to expanding humanitarian and development work in partnership with key international organizations. He also praised the significance of working with UNDP, highlighting its vital role in delivering tangible and meaningful impact to thousands of families in Gaza who are facing dire humanitarian conditions.
The agreement is expected to support the design of high-impact interventions that alleviate the consequences of war and open new avenues for joint action in the service of the Gaza population.
